Welcome to Nutty Brown Farm
Nutty Brown Farm is a local organic flower farm located in the hills of Austin, TX. Founded in 2014 by Kim Stearns with the much-appreciated help of her husband Joel, she uses nature’s beauty with a whimsical style as her inspiration. Not knowing what would come of this endeavor she started with her love of growing beautiful blooms which lead to her passion of creating bouquets that bring smiles for all.

Our 1840’s little log cabin is open every Saturday from April 6-November 2, 2024 from 8a – 12p. We’ll have lots of beautiful bouquets from Nutty Brown Farm, Ranch101Flowers and delicious baked goods from Goodbakeatx!

Bouquet tip: For longer lasting flowers trim half an inch off each stem and change water every couple days and place bouquet out of direct sunlight, enjoy! 🌸
Meet the Farmer
Hi y’all, my name is Kim. I’m a fourth generation Texan, born in Austin. My ancestors came to Galveston from Germany on the ship “The Sara Ann” in 1845. My parents Ira and Beverly taught me to work hard, be honest, do your best and give back. I take these values to heart and put them into the work I do on the farm everyday. I love sharing what I’ve learned about growing flowers. I have people say to me, “I didn’t think you could grow these flowers in Texas.” It can take a little extra care but for me it’s so worth it.
